Now we shall move along to the next step, skincare. Skin care regimen consists, mainly, of three essential steps: cleaning, toning and moisturizing.
- Cleaning. Use a good cleanser that is made specifically to treat acne. Wash your face twice a day or maximally three times a day. If you felt like your skin has some dirt on wash it with water only. Remember to read the ingredients and know which one is the active ingredient. Salicylic acid is not as harsh as benzoyl peroxide on skin. A natural cleanser is oatmeal. Take a pea size of the cleanser or a handful of oatmeal and then rub it on your wet face. Use lukewarm water to help open up your pores.
- Remember to pat dry your face and not rubbing it as it can irritate your skin and leads to acne. Before drying you can give yourself a nice splash of cold water to close your pores
- Toning. Toning helps exfoliate the dead skin and make sure that your skin is squeaky clean and it helps closes your pores. Just use a cotton pad or a cotton ball with some toner on it and rub it on your dry skin. Do not wash it off; just leave it on your skin. A natural toner is rose water; it is cheap, effective and affordable in almost every place on the planet.
- Moisturizing. Although it looks silly, but this step is important. You might think that your skin is already oily so you do not need to put on a moisturizer, but that is wrong. Choose an oil-free moisturizer that suits your skin. For the daytime moisturizer, use one with SPF. Preferably with SPF 30 or higher.
